Camp Discovery families, friends and followers,
I would like to announce to everyone that I have decided to close Camp Discovery Child Care Center. We are sad to say goodbye to our families that we love so dearly, this was not an easy decision for me to make. Camp Discovery will still be here as a part of the Naples community and we hope to always be a part of your lives! We did have a 6-year waiting list and I’m sorry to do this to so many, but I am going to take some time to enjoy with my son! In the last 8 years we have welcomed 30 families into this school, and loved 42 students, each family holds a piece of my heart & always will! We have held 7 graduation ceremonies with 11 preschool graduates who are succeeding on their journeys (5 are currently in gifted programs)! We have had 5 wonderful teachers help us through the years and we know they are doing amazing things today! We have celebrated 8 trunk-or-treat events, 6 fundraisers (thank you to ALL our business supporters), 7 Christmas🎄 celebrations and 8 parents’ night/mornings off! We have been named the #1 child care center in Collier County from 2013-2018 because of your votes and support! In 2016 we became Let’s Move Certified as well as the 1st home school in the nation to become Blue-Zones Project Certified! In 2017 we became a Safe Sleeping School that promotes and educates parents on safe sleeping practices. We have offered the food program to our families and have worked closely with DCF to help support local families! We have had YOGA classes, cooking classes, an amazing school garden that I have been so proud of the students for!! We have also taught 16 kids survival swimming! I am so beyond grateful for all the love and support that each and everyone of you have given to our school, I cannot thank you all enough.
This is definitely not goodbye forever; Camp Discovery will still be here for any help or support you need.
